Deploying a streaming-over-cellular solution can sometimes be quite tricky due to the unpredictability of cellular signals. So, it’s exciting to see the introduction of our partner Teradek’s new portable cellular bonding solution called “Link”, which essentially works as a mobile hotspot.

Here’s how it works: You place the Link at a location with optimal cellular signal, connect your Cube (Teradek’s portable encoder-over-WiFi) to the Link’s own WiFi network, and you can go live with your Cube-connected camera up to 300 feet away. Your live video feed is encoded through Cube, and then relayed to Link via WiFi and transmitted to our Sputnik Server via 3G or 4G mobile networks to be delivered to your viewers. You can even connect the Link to your mobile devices, such as iPads and laptops, for convenient Internet access.

With Influxis’ reliable Sputnik Server hosting and Teradek’s new Link, you can roam around freely without the fear of a dropped connection . Dare to stream.
