When the pen manufacturer Edding and its agency KemperTrautmann, wanted a unique online branding experience, it turned to demodern, a leading German digital design studio, for an idea. And what came out of it was a live interactive, digital canvas project called, The Edding Wall of Fame.
The Wall of Fame is a creative online environment where young artists and professional illustrators come together to meet, compete and collaborate on creating the largest and longest ongoing artwork. Ever since it’s launch in 2011, more than 300,000 drawings have been drawn on this huge virtual canvas, and it continues to grow in its size and complexity.
Influxis’ Adobe Media Server hosting is utilized for the Wall of Fame’s live collaborative drawing, webcam and chat functions, providing real-time data to the website visitors. Influxis’ global server network and hands-on support provided the necessary scalability as the scope of the project grew continuously. This unique creative web experience also implemented a sharing functionality that allowed the users to directly mark their drawings on the wall to share, forward, save and post via Facebook, Twitter and email.
Anyone who is an artist at heart is invited to grab one of ten virtual markers and become a part of this one-of-a-kind masterpiece at http://wall-of-fame.com
